This website, https://yourvoice.votingwhile.black/, (the “Site”) is operated by ColorOfChange PAC (“We” or “Us”). ColorOfChange PAC is a District of Columbia nonprofit corporation exempt from taxation under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code focused on building independent Black political power, amplifying Black voices, electing candidates who share our values, and holding them accountable to our communities. ColorOfChange PAC is committed to protecting your privacy online. By providing Personal Information to us, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.


UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Please review this privacy policy periodically because we modify it from time to time. Please take a look at the “LAST UPDATED” legend at the top of this page to see when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Each time you visit this Site or provide us with information through the Site, by doing so you are accepting practices described in the Privacy Policy in effect at that time.

● Credit and debit card number We collect information you give us when you register on our site, contact us, or make an online contribution. For example, when making a contribution, in addition to providing us your name, address, occupation and name of employer, you will need to provide us a billing address and credit card or bank account information, and answer a series of brief questions to make sure we may legally accept your contribution.


HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use Personal Information: 

●To allow you to sign petitions, complete surveys and send messages elected officials and corporate leaders through the Site.

● To send you important information regarding the Site, changes to our terms, conditions, and policies and/or other administrative information. 

● To process your donation or payment. 

● To comply with campaign finance laws. We are often required to disclose information regarding our contributions to comply with campaign finance laws. For example, federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year. 

● To send you communications from like-minded partner organizations that we believe may be of interest to you. 

● For our business purposes, such as data analysis, enhancing our website, improving our services, identifying usage trends and determining the effectiveness of our campaigns. 

● As we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you use our services, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and optionally, email address. 

When you browse our platform, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
